Showcasing contemporary inspirational pieces (think Andrea Bocelli / Josh Groban / Trans Siberian Orchestra ...)
Rehearsals are every Thursday, May 30 - Aug. 1, 2019
5:30-6:30pm Choir
6:45-8:15pm Symphony
REHEARSAL LOCATION (not at True Song Studio itself): Calvary Church Nampa, 417 Almond St.
Culmination Concert: Aug. 3 at Julius Kleiner outdoor Amphitheater, Meridian
Other (smaller/optional) performances to be arranged throughout the season.
Our mission is to provide high-quality ensemble instruction where various ages and expertise levels can enjoy playing music and strongly grow together as singers and instrumentalists. Our theme is excellence and encouragement. We draw all players upward toward their own best musicianship.
All members are encouraged to be in both choir and symphony, but you can choose to join just choir or just symphony. The family rate per season remains the same regardless of whether you participate in choir, symphony, or both, and regardless of how many members from your immediate family are participating together.
CHOIR is for everyone who would like to harmonize with a group. Parts are assigned according to each singer's vocal range. Confident singers can audition for solo parts if they'd like. Advanced instrumentalists can choose to audition for choir accompaniment instead of or in addition to singing.
All band and orchestra instruments are accepted in SYMPHONY. At least 2 years of prior playing experience are recommended. All members are expected to know how to read music and/or be taking regular lessons on their instrument. You are welcome to join with more than one instrument you are fluent in. Auditions will be taken for section leader roles and solo parts.
